US public company fundamentals
What is in it
The whole normalised set, one row per company, metric and period. Quarters are real quarters — a Q4 stated only as a cumulative full year is turned back into a quarter, which is the work most sources skip. Each row says whether the figure was reported by the filer or worked out, and where it was worked out, the formula used.
What it shows
Around three fifths of the values here were reported outright and more than a third were derived from figures that were. The split is not even: cash is always tagged and never derived, while free cash flow and every margin are always derived and never tagged. Anyone treating a fundamentals feed as “what the company filed” is wrong about more than a third of it, and has no way of knowing which third.

What it is good for
- Backtesting and screening across the whole universe at once
- Checking another source’s figures against a stated derivation
- Studying which line items filers actually tag in XBRL

The files on this page are rebuilt daily and will have moved on from any deposit. Cite a snapshot DOI when a result has to be reproducible, the first DOI when you mean the dataset itself, and this page when you just want the current numbers.
